Matt spent a career serving his country as a Naval Flight Officer, both in combat and as a military envoy. In addtion he and New Sapience founder Bryant Cruse flying for the Navy they also share a knowledge and passion for advanced technology and how it can serve the greater good. The work that New Sapience was doing in AI and their common background is what inspired him to join Bryant’s team of advisors.
With the help of the Milken Institute, Matt founded the Military Leadership Circle (MLC), which enables active duty military and veterans to help bridge the civil-military divide with the corporate world. Matt was a 2019 Presidential Leadership Scholar, a 2019-2020 National Security Fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies and co-chairs the DC Term Member Advisory Council at the Council on Foreign Relations.
